The Ghost of Charles Pallentine

Hey, folks!

It’s been just over a week since the end of the first TotR story, “Sea of the Dead!”, and I’m happy to report that the scripting for the next story, an 8-page short called “The Fleshless Legion”, is nearly complete! Although it will be short, I can promise that it will be packed with excitement. There will be trains, mummified soldiers from the civil war, flesh-eating gas, graveyards, and of course, ghosts!

A change I’m making in this story is that I actually intend to show the ghost of Charles Pallentine, not just Eddie talking to a disembodied voice from the ring. In case you’ve ever wondered what Charles might have looked like, here’s a sneak peek!

End of "Sea of the Dead!"

Well folks, after 8 months of working every day, the first Revenant story has come to a close. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’ve met some wonderful people.

…and I’m ready for more!

So..what’s next?

Well, I just finished the illustrations to a great pulp book, Volume two of “Episodes from the Zero Hour!”

Ron has put together an awesome story in “Warrior’s Heart”…..when I read it, I had to do the illustrations! It’s on sale right now at Lulu.com!

Now, with the obligation complete, I’m ready to begin work on the next “Tales of the Revenant” story, which I intend to submit to DC Comic’s webcomic imprint Zuda Comics in October!

In the meantime, I’m investigating a piece of software called “Comic Life“, which is a comic creation program that is typically out for Mac users, but is now at a beta stage. It’s built a bit on the campy side, but there’s some amazingly functional tools. Here’s something that I just threw together as I was testing it out…..I thought it was pretty fun!

Anyway, I’ll update as I get more information!
